The Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic at the Up Center is dedicated to providing high-quality, accessible mental healthcare to post-9/11 service members (including National Guard and Reserves), active-duty personnel, and their families. Our mission extends to spouses, partners, children, parents, siblings, caregivers, and others connected to the military community.
We maintain a strong commitment to evidence-based practices, clinical consultation, professional development, and measurement-based care. Clinicians at our clinic receive dedicated support and training opportunities in evidence-based interventions relevant to child and family mental health treatment.
As a Licensed Clinician with a Child & Family Focus, you will provide evidence-based mental health treatment and assessment services to children ages 5 and older, adolescents, and their caregivers within military-connected families. This role is designed to support children and families navigating a wide variety of mental health needs, including emotional, behavioral, social, and adjustment-related challenges.
You will deliver developmentally appropriate individual, family, and caregiver-focused therapy utilizing trauma-informed and evidence-based approaches. The ideal candidate will excel at engaging children and adolescents in therapeutic settings while collaborating closely with caregivers, schools, medical providers, and community supports to strengthen outcomes for youth and families.
In this position, you will support families through unique military-specific stressors such as transitions, deployment, reintegration, grief, trauma exposure, school difficulties, and family stressors. Services are delivered through both telehealth and in-person platforms, with a schedule that includes 2–3 late evenings per week to accommodate the availability of children and families.
Candidates must meet all background check requirements and possess a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and a working cell phone. The role requires the ability and willingness to travel locally as needed.
