WSP is a world-leading professional services firm, now bringing world-class expertise in power delivery, generation, and project management following the acquisition of POWER Engineers, Inc. Our vision is to be the preeminent pure-play global consulting firm for the world's energy transition. We are a growing organization dedicated to solving complex problems and supporting client needs in electrical testing and commissioning for utility substations, industrial facilities, and bulk electrical power systems.
As a POWER Testing and Energization (PTE) Lead P&C Technician, you will lead field operations for complex construction, environmental, and infrastructure projects across Texas and Louisiana. This role exists to provide expert technical guidance and hands-on execution for high-voltage substation testing and commissioning. You will serve as the senior field representative, bridging the gap between project leadership, engineers, and field crews.
In this position, you will not only perform advanced protective relay testing but also mentor junior technicians, manage site logistics, and ensure strict adherence to safety and quality standards. You will be the primary liaison for clients and contractors, communicating progress and technical concerns while leading the implementation of site-specific health and safety protocols. This is a dynamic role requiring you to troubleshoot technical challenges independently and drive continuous improvement across projects.
To apply for this opportunity, please submit your resume and relevant qualifications through the WSP careers portal. Candidates selected for the next stage will be contacted for an initial screening to discuss experience and project fit, followed by technical interviews focused on your expertise in protective relays and field operations.
