The Law Clerk position is a unique opportunity for recent law school graduates to gain practical, hands-on experience applying their knowledge to assist with high-profile cases being investigated and litigated by the Department of Justice. This role is designed to enhance your understanding of the litigation life cycle as you assist with investigations ranging from discovery through trial and appeal.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circleConduct intensive document reviews to identify relevant documents and privileged data
- check_circlePerform complex legal and factual research to support trial staff and build cases
- check_circleAssist in preparing draft legal documents including motions, briefs, and memoranda of law
- check_circleSupport attorneys with all phases of litigation from discovery through trial and appeal
- check_circleUtilize electronic discovery tools and databases such as Relativity to conduct searches
Requirements
- verifiedLaw degree or currently attending ABA-accredited law school (completed at least one year)
- verifiedSound working knowledge of federal and state court systems
- verifiedThorough knowledge of legal research tools (LEXIS, Westlaw)
- verifiedHands-on familiarity with computer applications (word processing, databases, spreadsheets, imaging)
- verifiedHands-on familiarity with ESI tools and eDiscovery procedures
- verifiedDOJ MBI clearance obtainable
- verifiedUS Citizenship required
Nice to Have
eDiscovery certifications, prior experience supporting the Federal Government, prior document review experience using Relativity.
