About the Role
LTC is an interpreting agency seeking contracted Korean language interpreters based in Nashville, Tennessee. This role is designed for professionals fluent in both English and Korean who can serve as a vital liaison in diverse environments. You will function as an independent contractor (1099 vendor) rather than an employee, accepting appointments on an as-needed basis.
The ideal candidate brings at least three years of interpreting experience across a variety of settings, including medical, social work, education, and workplace contexts. Your primary mission is to provide accurate, on-site, in-person interpretation that is appropriate to the specific setting and audience, ensuring clear communication between parties.
Important Details
As an Independent Contractor Interpreter, you will not be an employee of LTC. You will provide language interpretation services on an IRS Form 1099 basis. Candidates must live within commuting distance of Nashville, TN, to fulfill the requirement for on-site, in-person interpretation.
Compliance and Standards
Interpreters in this role are expected to comply with all state, local, and federal laws and regulations regarding privacy and confidentiality of medical information, including HIPAA. Additionally, you will be responsible for keeping accurate records of your services.
