About the Role
The Restaurant Assistant Manager serves as a vital partner to the Restaurant Manager, stepping in to lead daily operations and supervise the team whenever the Manager is absent. This role is designed for a leader who is passionate about maintaining high operational standards and ensuring every guest leaves satisfied. You will be the face of the brand on the floor, coaching team members, driving a culture of excellence, and working collaboratively to keep the restaurant profitable and safe.
Day in the Life
Your day is a dynamic blend of leadership, operations, and guest service. You will start by ensuring the restaurant is ready for the day, assigning shift duties, and verifying that all food preparation meets strict brand and health department regulations. Throughout the shift, you will be on the move—coaching team members on service standards, conducting second interviews for new hires, and ensuring the environment remains clean and welcoming.
You will manage the financial pulse of the restaurant by monitoring cash, sales, and inventory records, completing necessary paperwork, and resolving any discrepancies immediately. Whether handling a stressful situation with a calm, positive attitude or ensuring food safety protocols are followed to the letter, you will be the anchor that keeps the team focused on results. In the absence of the Restaurant Manager, you will take full ownership of administrative duties, including inventory counts and truck orders, ensuring the business runs smoothly from opening to closing.
