About the Role

Your Petco Grooming Career begins here as a Junior Pet Stylist. This role is designed for those with a genuine passion for animals who want to start a career in the pet care industry. During a ten-week training period, you will learn fundamental grooming tasks such as brushing, bathing, drying, and nail trimming under the guidance of seasoned groomers. Our industry-leading program is built to develop essential skills and set the foundation for your future growth within Petco Grooming.

The primary purpose of this position is to learn how to perform services like bathing, drying, ear cleaning, and gland cleaning while prioritizing the comfort, safety, and well-being of the pets in our care. You will assist in the grooming process and deliver optimal customer service to pet parents, ensuring a positive experience for both the animals and their families.

Hiring Process

To join our team, you will begin with a ten-week training program designed to take you from learning to performing:

• Weeks 1-3: Learning and On-the-Job Training. You will learn dog behavior, pet and self-safety, check-in/out procedures, customer service, and grooming policies while beginning on-the-job training in bathing and drying techniques.
• Weeks 3-10: Performing and Achieving Productivity. You will perform bathing and walk-in services while working toward weekly productivity goals.
