This role supports the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) in Lansing, focusing on the integrity and security of critical patient data systems. The team is responsible for maintaining complex Java applications and developing enhancements that streamline business processes. The absence of this resource would force manual documentation and screen planning, leading to potential data integrity issues and incorrect patient information reporting.
As a Programmer Analyst 4, you will be integral to the development and maintenance of automated processes within the department. You will write well-designed, testable code using Spring MVC, Hibernate, and modern JavaScript frameworks to build business application components. Your work will involve designing RESTful Web Services, implementing design patterns, and executing the full software development life cycle (SDLC) from requirements gathering to functional specifications.
You will collaborate with stakeholders to review software designs, create prototypes, and ensure logical system flow through detailed documentation and flowcharts. The role requires a deep understanding of the SDLC, including troubleshooting with SQL/PL/SQL, tuning queries, and integrating software components into fully functional systems using application servers like Apache Tomcat and JBOSS.
Interviews are scheduled for the week of April 27. The process consists of a single 1-hour virtual interview via MS Teams. Candidates must join from a laptop and be prepared to share their screen if requested. A screenshot photo of the candidate is required for all interviews, and a vendor representative will be present at the beginning of the session to validate the candidate's identity.
To be considered for bid submission, candidates must provide a resume, R2R, confirmation of meeting work location requirements, pre-screening questions, and a cover sheet.
