As an IT Systems Administrator, you will architect, implement, and support the IT systems and software applications that keep our operations running. This role goes beyond routine maintenance; you will be responsible for performing regular system updates, backup and recovery tasks, and ensuring that IT policies, procedures, and standards are meticulously documented.
In this position, you will collaborate with IT teams to implement new systems and upgrades while monitoring performance to identify opportunities for improvement. You will serve as a key resource for troubleshooting hardware and software issues, communicating effectively with team members to provide oversight and knowledge sharing. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills alongside a customer-focused attitude and excellent communication abilities. You may occasionally be tasked to support other businesses within the Hartzell family, requiring flexibility to travel to various sites.
In your first year, success will be defined by your ability to learn the company systems and build productive relationships with end users. You will need to work independently through most issues while efficiently communicating or escalating complex matters to the team. Additionally, you must manage your time effectively, understanding the unique priorities of a manufacturing-based environment to ensure critical projects are completed on schedule.
