This position serves as a critical guardian of the organization's digital integrity. Under general direction, you will evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal data controls, business processes, and technology platforms. Your primary mission is to ensure the security and reliability of our systems by performing rigorous security and integrity reviews of data and IT infrastructure.
You will operate in a dynamic, client-facing environment where active communication is key. Expect to engage regularly via email, instant messaging, and voice or video calls, often utilizing screen sharing to troubleshoot complex technical issues. This role demands a proactive mindset; you must possess a strong desire to learn and stay connected to the ever-evolving threat landscape while documenting your findings and solutions effectively.
Your day-to-day involves deep-dive analysis of technical systems to identify vulnerabilities and ensure robust security postures. You will be expected to articulate the fundamentals of information security across multiple domains, ranging from Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) to Cloud security, Endpoint hardening, and Incident Response. Whether you are automating reports using scripting languages like PowerShell, Python, or Bash, or analyzing malware and forensic data, your work will directly contribute to the organization's resilience against cyber threats.
We are looking for a security professional with at least two years of hands-on experience in areas such as SOC analysis, threat hunting, detection engineering, or network security. Beyond technical skills, you must demonstrate the ability to discuss complex security concepts in at least three of the following areas: Cloud applications, Containerization, Application security, Zero Trust Architecture, Security tooling automation, Malware analysis, Incident response, Penetration testing, Cyber Threat Intelligence, Vulnerability Management, or Data Protection.
While not required, candidates with ISACA CRISC or ISC2 SSCP certifications, experience with SOAR platforms, familiarity with NIST frameworks (CSF 2.0, 800-207, 800-53), or connections to the broader infosec community will be highly valued. Experience leveraging AI models for automation or research is also a plus.
