This position is specifically for an IT Procurement Manager, focusing exclusively on IT-related activities rather than broader indirect procurement items. The role is designed for a contractor with over 10 years of experience in the IT sector, requiring deep technical knowledge of purchasing concepts, sourcing methodologies, and contract management.
You will serve as a strategic partner to internal and external stakeholders, leading sourcing projects that deliver results, mitigate business risk, and drive efficiencies. Reporting to the Indirect Procurement Sr. Manager, you will be responsible for defining commercial and service criteria, ensuring competitive pricing, and protecting the company against supply chain disruptions, quality issues, and performance failures. A key part of your day-to-day involves working closely with the Contract Manager to execute agreements and negotiating with suppliers to achieve the lowest total system cost.
Beyond technical execution, this role demands strong client- and stakeholder-facing relationship-building skills. You will supervise 1-3 direct reports, fostering a team environment built on trust, emotional intelligence, and adaptability. The ideal candidate is a leader who can inspire a shared vision, resolve conflicts constructively, and navigate a matrix management environment with strategic foresight.
This is a 6-month contract role based in Woodcliff Lake, NJ. The work arrangement requires a hybrid schedule of 4 days on-site and 1 day from home. Local candidates are preferred.
Candidates with strong IT procurement backgrounds and proven people management experience are encouraged to apply. The role prioritizes those with experience in ERP systems such as SAP, ARIBA, and Ironclad, as well as relevant certifications like C.P.M. or CPSM.
