You will join the Desktop Support team to provide essential assistance to the organization's IT department. This is a first-shift, fully onsite role based in Lansing, MI, operating on a Contract to Hire basis. The position is ideal for someone ready to take ownership of IT incidents, ensuring users receive efficient and appropriate service.
Your day-to-day will involve diagnosing and resolving software and hardware incidents across Windows and Mac operating systems. You will manage the deployment of laptops and desktops, including re-imaging machines from Windows 10 to Windows 11, and configuring new IT equipment. A key part of your mission is to take ownership of issues by performing problem analysis to implement temporary or permanent fixes, escalating to other teams only when necessary. You will also handle incidents related to printers, copiers, and scanners, while accurately documenting all requests and resolutions in the IT service desk system.
