About the Opportunity
Aptask Global Workforce (AGW) is seeking an experienced Information Security Officer (ISO) to serve as the senior, on-site security leader for a leading technology partner in the global aerospace and defense industry. This direct-hire opportunity is based in Philadelphia, PA, with operational coverage and accountability extending to sites in Tustin, CA, and Beavercreek, OH.
This is a unique hands-on role that combines security leadership with senior on-site technical support. As the CISO's delegate in the field, you will be the local face of both security and IT operations for your span of sites. You will own compliance, authorization, and risk management while simultaneously provisioning infrastructure, troubleshooting endpoints, and resolving day-to-day IT issues.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circleProvide hands-on technical support for desktops, servers, shop-floor computers, and networking devices
- check_circleOwn site-level compliance with NIST SP 800-171, CMMC Level 2, DFARS, and ITAR/EAR requirements
- check_circleLead Authorization to Operate activities including drafting System Security Plans and POA&Ms
- check_circleIdentify, assess, document, and report cybersecurity risks at all covered sites
- check_circleAct as on-site incident commander for cybersecurity events and coordinate with central teams
- check_circlePartner with FSO, HR, and Legal to support the corporate Insider Threat Program

Requirements
- verifiedBachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related discipline, or equivalent experience
- verified7+ years of progressive experience in cybersecurity and IT, with at least 3 years in a security leadership, ISSM/ISSO, or equivalent role within the Defense Industrial Base (DIB) or the U.S. government
- verifiedActive DoD Secret clearance required at time of hire
- verifiedDemonstrated hands-on technical experience supporting and troubleshooting Windows 10/11 desktops, Windows Server, manufacturing/shop-floor computers, and networking equipment
- verifiedExperience provisioning IT infrastructure end-to-end: imaging, deployment, hardening, and decommissioning
- verifiedStrong account management experience across Active Directory, Entra ID (Azure AD), and Microsoft 365
- verifiedProven experience leading or supporting CMMC, NIST SP 800-171, and RMF compliance activities
- verifiedStrong working knowledge of DFARS, ITAR/EAR data handling, and CUI protection requirements
- verifiedAbility and willingness to travel 25%-40% between Philadelphia, Tustin, and Beavercreek
Nice to Have
Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Assurance, or related field. Active CISSP, CISM, CAP, or equivalent professional certification. DoD 8570 / 8140 IAM Level II or III baseline qualification. IT-side certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Server+, or Microsoft certifications. Prior experience as an ISSM for a classified information system or NISP-accredited facility. Familiarity with classified system operations (NIPR / SIPR) and RMF tooling (eMASS, XACTA). Experience supporting Special Access Program (SAP) environments. Working familiarity with enterprise security stacks, including Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Defender XDR, and Qualys.
