Are you ready for an exciting career as an Advanced Systems Admin Specialist supporting our nation's prestigious cyber initiatives? In this role, you will serve as a front-line interface to users, addressing technical issues and ensuring systems remain current with evolving technologies.
You will be responsible for the day-to-day administration and maintenance of multiple secure infrastructures, both physical and virtual, across GDMS. Your work involves designing, developing, building, and testing new system infrastructure solutions as part of a collaborative team. You will perform vulnerability scanning and system remediation, manage OS and vendor software patching on servers and network devices, and update antivirus solutions to maintain security and compliance. Additionally, you will handle system performance monitoring, backups, availability, and disaster recovery strategies. This position offers the opportunity to challenge your administration skills while supporting multiple Communities of Interest in a high-stakes environment.
Due to the nature of the work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required. Applicants selected for this position must possess a Department of Defense Secret security clearance at the time of hire and will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. You must also meet DoD 8570.1 certification requirements for IAT-II or higher, completing the CompTIA Security+ certification within six months of hire.
