Inventory and Store Specialist II - Agriculture Veterinary Warehouse

About the Role

This position performs moderately complex inventory and retail sales work within an agriculture veterinary warehouse. The role is designed to support unit farm operations by managing the flow of materials, equipment, and veterinary pharmaceuticals. You will work under general supervision with the latitude to exercise initiative and independent judgment in daily operations.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Your work involves a blend of logistical management and operational support. You will train and oversee offenders in inventory and stock control, ensuring all activities comply with established procedures. Key tasks include requisitioning and receiving inventory through the Inventory Management System (IMS), as well as loading, unloading, and shelving equipment and supplies.

In addition to warehouse duties, you will assist in the collection and transport of biological samples for testing, support various treatment procedures, and maintain detailed records of livestock vaccination and health data. The role also requires conducting physical inventories of pharmaceuticals, preparing usage estimates, and generating reports on warehouse operations and stock control activities.

Security and Safety

A critical component of this position is maintaining the security of tools, machinery, and equipment. You will be responsible for responding to emergency situations and assisting in the security of assigned offenders. The role also involves monitoring store and warehouse operations to ensure compliance with established security requirements and procedures.
