Diedre Moire Corporation is seeking an experienced Insurance Underwriter to join our Commercial Lines Program in Omaha, NE. This position focuses on the Construction Contractor General Liability Specialty Program, covering sectors such as builders, contractors, plumbers, and electricians. The role is designed for professionals who thrive on assessing complex risks and managing relationships with Managing General Agents (MGAs).
In this capacity, you will underwrite Property and General Liability lines, utilizing investigation and analysis of applications, loss reports, and financial standing to establish risk guidelines. A key component of the day-to-day involves overseeing MGA actions, performing on-site audits to ensure compliance with authority levels, and reviewing submissions that exceed standard MGA limits to approve or deny coverage. You will also be responsible for prospecting and maintaining strong relationships with agency and broker contacts to develop a profitable book of business.
While the primary location is Omaha, remote work from home is possible for qualified candidates. The position offers a fantastic company culture with a strong emphasis on work-life balance, including several weeks of vacation and end-of-year bonuses.
Interested candidates should have a minimum of 2-5 years of experience underwriting Commercial Casualty with a specific emphasis on General Liability. Experience with Commercial Auto and overseeing Binding Authorities is considered a plus.
