About the Opportunity

An industry-leading insurance firm is seeking an experienced Underwriter to manage a portfolio of small to medium Specialty Contractors accounts. This role focuses on the unique risks associated with service providers, including HVAC, fire suppression, pest control, landscaping, siding, roofing, plumbing, and fence installation. The position operates primarily through wholesale brokers, requiring a deep understanding of the commercial insurance landscape to effectively serve these specialized markets.

The Role

In this capacity, you will be responsible for underwriting, pricing, and establishing terms and conditions for both new and renewal business. Success in this role involves actively researching market conditions, competitor performance, and the broader underwriting environment to share actionable insights with internal stakeholders. You will also manage the timely issuance of quotes, binders, and policies while developing and maintaining strong relationships with both existing and new broker partners.
