As an Instrument and Electrical Technician II or III, you will be the backbone of our Midland operations, ensuring the reliability and safety of critical electrical and instrumentation systems. This role exists to maintain the highest standards of performance and product quality by proactively testing, repairing, and upgrading the equipment that drives our production processes.
You will work within a collaborative environment, bridging the gap between operations, engineering, and project groups. Your day-to-day involves not only troubleshooting complex electrical issues but also driving a culture of safety and continuous improvement. You will be responsible for overseeing activities in your area of responsibility, ensuring strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations while supporting the broader team's goals.
This position offers the opportunity to act as a stand-in for the Instrument and Electrical Lead, providing technical mentorship to other technicians and contributing to the development of personal and team technical skills. Whether you are constructing new installations, managing Management of Change (MOC) requests, or ensuring the timely completion of scheduled maintenance, your work directly impacts the integrity of our facility.
This role is based at our Midland location on Hwy 80. You will work a 5/2 schedule (Monday–Friday) for 40 hours per week, with a rotational call requirement to ensure 24/7 coverage when needed. Local candidates are required for this position as no per diem is provided.
To support your success, we provide a comprehensive suite of resources. You will be issued an agency-provided ½ ton truck with a toolbox, along with all necessary tools and a 4-gas monitor supplied by XOM. This ensures you have the equipment needed to perform your duties safely and efficiently from day one.
We value a personal connection and aim to get to know you early in the process. The interview phase consists of a 30-minute meet & greet. While in-person meetings are preferred to facilitate a better connection, Zoom accommodations are available if necessary.
We are committed to building a diverse and inclusive workforce. We consider qualified applicants regardless of background, ensuring that our team reflects the communities we serve.
