About the Role
We are seeking a full-time Instructor in Classical Languages and Italian to join our faculty. In this role, you will teach courses in Latin, Greek (Homeric and Attic), and Italian, guiding students through the foundational texts and linguistic structures of the classical world.
You will be responsible for developing and implementing engaging lesson plans that reflect an understanding of diverse learning styles. Your day-to-day work involves utilizing appropriate instructional strategies and technology to strengthen the teaching and learning process. You will create a classroom environment conducive to learning that supports the physical, social, and emotional development of students while managing behavior to ensure a safe and optimal learning atmosphere.
Collaboration is key to this position. You will work cooperatively with other teachers to modify curricula, determine instructional goals, and assist students in analyzing and improving their study methods. Additionally, you will maintain open lines of communication with parents, students, colleagues, and the Head of School to ensure a supportive community.
