DTS is seeking an Instructional Designer/Technical Writer to support the State Accounting Office (SAO) in Atlanta, GA. This position operates under broad supervision to analyze customer business needs and participate in the planning, design, and implementation of new or enhanced systems. The role may also involve acting as a team or project leader.
The Instructional Designer is responsible for developing innovative instructional programs and materials that align with organizational goals and learner needs. Success in this role requires a blend of instructional design expertise, creativity, and strong communication skills to create engaging and effective learning experiences. You will collaborate closely with subject matter experts (SMEs) and stakeholders to ensure the accuracy and relevancy of all training content.
This is a hybrid position requiring in-office presence at least twice a week, specifically on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, with additional onsite time as needed based on role-specific and agency requirements. While local candidates and an onsite schedule are preferred, out-of-state candidates are permitted for a 100% remote arrangement.

Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, or a related field. Proficiency in using Workday for creating, managing, and delivering training programs. Experience in leveraging Workday's Learning Management System (LMS) capabilities to track learner progress, generate reports, and ensure compliance with training requirements. Ability to integrate Workday with other eLearning authoring tools and platforms. Successful implementation of large-scale ERP transition to Workday solution. Master's degree in Instructional Design, Education, or a related field. Knowledge of gamification techniques and how to apply them to enhance learner engagement and motivation. Experience in creating multimedia content, including graphics, animations, and interactive elements using tools like Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects). Local candidates and onsite work schedule are preferred.
