The Instructional Coach-Mathematics serves as a certified, highly-qualified teacher dedicated to supporting teaching and learning within Joliet Public Schools District 86. Reporting to the Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction and the Program Coordinator, this role is designed to improve and accelerate student achievement through quality curriculum and instruction.
As a leader in the district, you will bridge the gap between educational theory and classroom practice. Your day involves modeling effective strategies, providing one-on-one coaching, and facilitating professional development for staff. You will work closely with principals, assistant principals, classroom teachers, and paraprofessionals to differentiate instructional support and ensure alignment with the Common Core State Standards for Mathematics.
This position is a 9-month, non-exempt bargaining unit role focused on fostering a collaborative environment where educators can refine their craft. You will be instrumental in evaluating and enhancing the district's mathematics curriculum, facilitating pilot processes for new materials, and guiding the implementation of learning centers.
