About the Role
We are seeking a Full-Time Instructional Assistant to join the instructional team at Central York Middle School. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supporting students' academic, social, and emotional growth, with a passion for helping students succeed. This role is designed to foster meaningful connections with students, families, and staff.\n As an Instructional Assistant, you will work under the immediate and direct supervision of a certified professional to provide essential support in various classroom situations. Your day will involve serving as a personal assistant to students with special needs, facilitating learning support activities, and assisting students with Individualized Educational Plans (IEPs). You will help students stay focused, re-teach material, prepare for assessments, and monitor behavior while collaborating with the instructional support team and parents.
This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where you can make a tangible difference in the lives of middle school students. You will be evaluated by the certified professional in charge of your specific assignment and the Building Principal.
Location and Schedule
This full-time position is based at Central York Middle School (1950 N. Hills Road, York, PA 17406). The role operates for 7 hours per day over a 10-month school year, totaling 186 days per year.
