The Installation Technician (I.T.) lives VIP's mission to "Earn Automotive Customers for Life." This role is dedicated to learning and embodying the VIP culture, ensuring every customer receives a different and better experience through adherence to VIP processes. The core purpose of the position is to foster effective communication, teamwork, and safe operations while delivering high-quality automotive services.

About the Role

As an Installation Technician, you are the frontline expert responsible for the effective repair and replacement of automotive tires, parts, fluids, and accessories. Your work ensures that services are performed correctly the first time, building trust and loyalty with our customers. You will partner with the Service Desk team to manage the entire service lifecycle, from initiating valid work orders and conducting Multi-point Vehicle Inspections (MPIs) to returning vehicles securely and handling all parts and cores according to strict security protocols.

Your day involves more than just technical repairs; it is about customer engagement. You will actively participate in the "5-for-5 Customer Engagement Process," educating customers about their vehicle's condition and ensuring they feel informed and valued. Whether performing tire services, oil changes, under-hood maintenance, or wheel alignments, you are expected to maintain a clean, safe, and efficient work environment that complies with all company safety, loss prevention, and environmental regulations.

Hiring Process

Candidates must demonstrate a commitment to safety and quality. The selection process involves verifying your ability to read and interpret technical instructions, diagnose basic automotive problems, and communicate effectively with customers and coworkers. Successful candidates will be expected to complete all required training and certifications, including LMS modules, safe equipment operation training, and specific technical certifications such as T.I.A. BATS, TPMS, and ASE (G1, A4, A5), as well as obtaining a State Vehicle Inspector license where required.
