About the Role

As an Inspector, RIT, you will become part of our growing, dynamic team. In this role, you will ensure that purchased parts, assemblies, accessories, and materials conform to specifications using precision measuring instruments and devices. You will examine items for defects in materials, workmanship, and damage occurring during transit. We are committed to helping you develop to a level that will exceed your expectations.

This position operates on the 2nd Shift, Monday through Friday, from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM.

check_circleReview vendor documentation and inspection results for material acceptability
check_circleAssist with NCE failure investigations and develop action plans
check_circleMaintain compliance with quality requirements and the 7S program
check_circleExamine items for defects in materials, workmanship, and transit damage
check_circleGenerate Non-Conforming Event reports for identified non-conformances
check_circleSegregate non-conforming materials and operate pallet jacks for heavy items

Requirements

verified1 year of experience in quality assurance or auditing
verifiedAbility to read/understand drawings and related quality procedures
verifiedExperience working with calibrated measuring instruments
verifiedBasic skills using electrical and mechanical measurement tools
verifiedAbility to read and write legibly
verifiedAbility to interpret specifications for mechanical, optical and electrical components
verifiedBasic math skills (add, subtract, multiply and divide)

Nice to Have

Associate or technical degree. Experience working with ISO9001 and ability to initiate the corrective action process for receivables. 3 years of experience as a receiving inspector, including measuring components to drawing specs. Certified Mechanical Inspector (CMI) and Certified Quality Technician (CQT), or industry equivalency in years of experience as quality inspector/technician (with documentation). Ability to demonstrate use of digital, dial and Vernier calipers, inside and outside micrometers, and depth and height gauges.
