About the Role
As an Inspector, RIT, you will become part of our growing, dynamic team. In this role, you will ensure purchased parts, assemblies, accessories, and materials conform to specifications using precision measuring instruments and devices. You'll also examine items for defects in materials, workmanship, and damage occurring during transit. We'll help you develop to a level that will exceed your expectations.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circleInspect incoming and disposition materials to align with approved documents using statistical sampling
- check_circlePerform part history reviews and First Article inspections on mechanical and electrical components
- check_circleMaintain compliance with quality requirements and adhere to the 7S program and quality policy
- check_circleReview vendor-supplied documentation and inspection results to verify material acceptability
- check_circleAssist with NCE failure investigations, develop action plans, and perform effectiveness verifications
- check_circleGenerate Non-Conforming Event (NCE) reports for items failing to meet specifications
- check_circleParticipate in team efforts to ensure contract goals and objectives are met
- check_circleIdentify, segregate, and move non-conforming materials to designated areas using pallet jacks
Requirements
- verified1 year of experience in quality assurance or auditing
- verifiedAbility to read/understand drawings and related quality procedures
- verifiedExperience working with calibrated measuring instruments
- verifiedBasic skills using electrical and mechanical measurement tools
- verifiedAbility to read and write legibly
- verifiedAbility to interpret specifications for mechanical, optical and electrical components
- verifiedBasic math skills (add, subtract, multiply and divide)
Nice to Have
Associate or technical degree. Experience working with ISO9001 and ability to initiate the corrective action process for receivables. 3 years of experience as a receiving inspector, including measuring components to drawing specs. Certified Mechanical Inspector (CMI) and Certified Quality Technician (CQT), or industry equivalency in years of experience as quality inspector/technician (with documentation). Ability to demonstrate use of digital, dial and Vernier calipers, inside and outside micrometers, and depth and height gauges.
