About the Team

Amentum is seeking an Information Systems Watch Technician to join a dynamic team in the Arlington, VA area. This group is dedicated to maintaining and supporting a critical customer facility, ensuring that telecommunications systems remain fully functional and available to empower senior leader decision-support teams. The team operates under a rigorous 24/7/365 schedule, requiring adaptability and precision to support mission-critical operations.

About the Role

In this position, you will serve as the frontline guardian of mission capabilities, ensuring the availability, performance, and testing of IT and RF-based voice, video, data systems, and networks under varying conditions. Your day-to-day involves operating, troubleshooting, and restoring communications systems, often coordinating with third-party providers to resolve issues swiftly. You will be responsible for making tactical decisions in stressed environments to ensure mission objectives are met, while also managing dynamic taskings and prioritizing workload amidst changing situational demands.

Beyond technical maintenance, you will set up and train users on complex network architectures, including radio and satellite systems. You will collaborate with customers to define future operational requirements, supporting the design, planning, and testing of new systems to ensure they are properly installed and integrated without disrupting ongoing operations. The role demands a proactive approach to identifying process improvements and efficiency gains to increase customer value. Successful candidates will receive highly specialized training on unique job responsibilities and may be required to travel or respond to alternate locations to support evolving customer requirements or surge demand.

Hiring Process

Qualified applicants will be considered for employment based on their ability to meet the essential requirements, including holding an active DoD TS/SCI security clearance adjudicated within the last five years. The selection process focuses on technical expertise in circuit troubleshooting, equipment installation, and VTC operations, alongside the ability to work effectively in a high-stakes, rotational shift environment.
