About the Team

Bogart Associates is seeking a talented Level 1 Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to join our growing team. In this role, you will maintain security operations for various specialized applications within cleared environments, ensuring compliance with client needs and strict timelines.

About the Role

As a Level 1 ISSO, you will perform assessments of systems and networks to identify deviations from acceptable configurations, enclave policies, or local standards. Your work involves a mix of passive evaluations, such as compliance audits, and active evaluations like vulnerability assessments. You will be responsible for developing documentation to support Risk Management Framework (RMF) processes, including operating procedures and policies.

You will also perform Continuous Monitoring (ConMon) duties in accordance with NIST SP 800-137, auditing for anomalous or malicious user activity. A key part of your day involves establishing strict program control processes to mitigate risks and support the certification and accreditation of systems. This includes providing process, analysis, and coordination support, as well as conducting periodic reviews of system audits and monitoring corrective actions until all issues are resolved. Additionally, you will handle media management activities, including controlling, labeling, and transferring data between different classification domains using both manual and automated processes.
