The Industrial Engineering (IE) Intern - MSO Operations & Strategic Projects is a pivotal role designed to support MSO operational performance and strategic initiatives. You will serve as a bridge between data and action, documenting and improving key processes to enhance quality, cost, delivery, and the overall experience for customers, members, and providers.
In this position, you will immerse yourself in the daily rhythm of MSO operations. Your day will involve observing frontline workflows, conducting time studies to quantify cycle times, and collaborating with cross-functional partners to capture requirements. You will translate complex operational data into clear visualizations, such as process maps and dashboards, and help develop standard work that ensures consistency and training effectiveness. This role offers the autonomy to drive improvement pilots while providing the structured support needed to validate findings and implement sustainable solutions.
This role is based in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and operates under our Hybrid Workforce Strategy. Associates are required to be in-office 1–2 days per week to foster collaboration and connectivity, while retaining the flexibility to support productivity and work-life balance. This approach combines structured office engagement with the autonomy of virtual work. Experience completing process maps / flow charts (swimlane diagrams, SIPOC, value stream maps) using tools such as Visio, Lucidchart, Miro, or PowerPoint. Experience writing and maintaining SOPs / standard work and translating process steps into clear documentation (checklists, decision trees, scripts, FAQs). Exposure to Lean / Six Sigma methods (coursework or project experience; Yellow Belt a plus).

Education: Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
