The In-House Organ Recovery Coordinator is a dynamic and enthusiastic team member dedicated to saving lives through organ donation. This role is designed for professionals who embrace the critical nature of this work and possess previous experience as a Registered Nurse (RN) in an ICU or critical care setting.
You will provide essential support for organ donation activities within assigned facilities to maximize opportunities for donation. Your presence will ensure consistency and promote trust in the donation process by managing excellent donor evaluation, management, and organ yield. You will work closely with potential donor families, hospital personnel, and transplant hospitals to facilitate the efficient recovery of organs and tissues.
This position requires a significant daily presence in the assigned hospital and extensive on-call flexibility. You will collaborate with medical, nursing, and other departments to plan, design, and implement educational and quality assurance programs related to donation. Additionally, you will assist with public education and outreach projects, acting as a clinical resource and fostering collaboration with hospital leaders to promote the gift of life.
