Position Overview
This role is primarily focused on operating the on-board hydro-vacuum system outside the truck to perform non-destructive excavation around sensitive underground piping and cables. The position requires significant time working at heights and handling heavy lifting. Beyond excavation, duties include tank entry, cleaning, vacuuming, equipment mobilization, truck maintenance, and participating in safety meetings.

Qualifications & Training
A high school diploma or equivalent is required. While an OSHA10 safety card certification is mandatory, Hydro Excavators, LLC will cover the cost of computer-based training for applicants who do not currently hold one, provided the online course is completed within five days of hiring. Candidates must possess an up-to-date DOT Medical card and a CDL-A or CDL-B license with a Tanker endorsement and no restrictions. Experience with manual transmissions (10 & 18 speed) is essential.
Application & Process
Candidates must be at least 21 years old and available to respond to emergency calls, including travel out of town and out of state. We look for individuals with strong communication skills who can effectively lead subordinate personnel and troubleshoot equipment. If you have previous experience with jetter and hydrovac operations, underground utilities, or similar field work, that is highly preferred.
