Founded in 1901, Walgreens proudly serves nearly 9 million customers and patients each day across its approximately 8,500 stores throughout the U.S. and Puerto Rico. With approximately 220,000 team members, including nearly 90,000 healthcare service providers, we are committed to being the first choice for pharmacy, retail, and health services. Our mission is to build trusted relationships that create healthier futures for customers, patients, team members, and communities.
This position serves as a strategic leader responsible for implementing healthcare strategies and driving patient health outcomes across various retail locations in Oklahoma. You will act as a subject matter expert and liaison, fostering strong relationships with medical communities while ensuring compliance of clinical pharmacy services. The role blends on-site presence at retail locations with remote prescription processing, requiring you to work from the regional facility one day per week.
In this capacity, you will execute partner-established pharmacy programs to maximize reimbursements while improving patient health. You will drive regional financial performance by aligning business strategies with company goals and enhancing the patient experience through focused healthcare services, such as medication management, disease state management, and specialty programs. As a resource to other pharmacists and field leaders, you will provide expertise, education, and support to foster teamwork and uphold the company's mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity.
Qualified candidates will be considered for this role based on their ability to meet the essential qualifications, including a Pharmacist Degree and current licensure. The selection process evaluates experience in prescription dispensing, knowledge of controlled substance laws, and the ability to work effectively across multiple environments, including centralized services and virtual settings. Candidates must be willing to travel up to 10% of the time for business purposes within and out of state.
Walgreens is committed to diversity and inclusion. We will consider employment of qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records. We strive to promote pay transparency and equal employment opportunities, with salary offers determined by a variety of factors including geography, skills, education, experience, and other relevant factors.
