We are actively recruiting a Housing Specialist to join our growing team in Newburgh, NY. In this role, you will work under the supervision of the Senior Program Supervisor to develop housing plans tailored to client needs. You will be instrumental in addressing social determinants of health by providing emergency rental and utility assistance, short-term rental support, security deposits, and housing retention services.
Your day-to-day involves conducting outreach to community providers and members to promote our services, screening clients for eligibility, and performing housing assessments. You will coordinate case conferences with program staff to ensure comprehensive service delivery and collaborate with medical providers and community-based organizations to address barriers to care. A key part of your responsibilities includes working directly with clients to create and maintain household budgets and providing health education sessions to encourage treatment adherence.
