About the Role
Masonicare at Mystic is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to maintain the cleanliness and safety of our community in Mystic, CT. In this per diem role, you will be the backbone of our daily operations, ensuring that both common areas and resident homes are welcoming, sanitary, and well-maintained.
You will work closely with a supportive team to uphold our high standards of care. Your day involves more than just cleaning; it requires interacting with our adult and older residents with respect, tact, and reassurance. Whether addressing a specific concern or simply ensuring a resident's space is comfortable, you will recognize and honor their unique needs, cultural backgrounds, and physical conditions.
Safety and Standards
Safety is paramount in this role. You will be responsible for maintaining surveillance of housekeeping carts in resident access areas, particularly regarding potentially dangerous cleaning fluids. Adherence to prescribed safety and infection control procedures is essential. You will also be expected to detect and report any defective equipment or operational issues to supervision immediately, ensuring a safe environment for everyone.
