About the Role
The Shift Supervisor serves as the Shift Leader, acting as a vital partner to the Restaurant General Manager and Assistant Manager. This role is dedicated to delivering sales and profit results by balancing profitability, guest experience, team development, and operational excellence. Operating under the direction of the RGM, the Shift Supervisor directly manages a shift of Team Members, ensuring the restaurant runs smoothly and meets key performance outcomes.
Day in the Life
Your day involves setting the tone for the shift by working hard to implement the shift plan and drive operational results. You will direct the efficient and accurate preparation and sale of products, ensuring prompt delivery within established speed of service guidelines. A significant part of your role is motivating Team Members at each workstation to exceed guest expectations with accurate, fast, and friendly service in clean surroundings.
Beyond operations, you will provide coaching and feedback to increase the team's capabilities and raise overall restaurant performance. You will review restaurant results to identify successes and areas for improvement, ensuring the restaurant upholds all operational and brand standards. Additionally, you will manage profitability by following cash control and security procedures, maintaining inventory through daily and weekly inspections, and receiving inventory truck orders. When necessary, you will perform the duties of a Team Member to support the team.
Hiring Process
Candidates must be at least 18 years of age and available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, including long or irregular shifts as needed to ensure proper restaurant functioning. The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma or GED (2 years of college preferred) and 1-2 years of previous quick service restaurant management experience.
