Hotel Sous Chef

About the Role

As a key member of the culinary leadership team, you will partner with the Executive Chef to drive operational excellence and guest satisfaction. This role exists to ensure the kitchen runs as a cohesive, efficient, and profitable unit while upholding the highest standards of culinary creativity and safety. You will be the bridge between strategic planning and daily execution, managing everything from menu development and staff training to inventory control and financial performance.

Your day will involve a dynamic mix of leadership and hands-on production. You will supervise culinary and stewarding staff, delegating tasks to ensure smooth service during peak hours while stepping in to fill positions as needed. From opening and closing procedures to maintaining strict health and sanitation standards, you will oversee the entire production lifecycle. You will also collaborate with the Food and Beverage Manager and sales teams to execute banquets and special events, ensuring every dish meets our visual and taste expectations.

Beyond the kitchen floor, you will contribute to the hotel's broader financial goals by developing operational plans, managing labor and food costs, and utilizing accounting software to track performance. This position requires a leader who can balance the creative demands of the culinary arts with the rigorous discipline of business management.
