Hospital Attendant 1 (UST)

About the Role

This position serves as a vital support within the healthcare team, focusing on patient-centered care and operational efficiency. The role is designed for individuals who demonstrate excellent communication skills and a strong ability to collaborate in team environments. You will be responsible for performing direct and indirect nursing care activities, including providing basic patient care, transporting equipment and patients, and managing the daily inventory of patient care supplies.

The position requires a foundational knowledge of normal growth and development, with the flexibility to respond to changing patient needs. You will play an active role in maintaining a safe work environment, participating in quality improvement initiatives, and upholding ethical principles in decision-making. Additionally, you will contribute to unit morale, maintain positive public relations, and take an active role in your own personal and professional development.

Work Schedule

This role operates on an 8-hour day shift. The schedule follows a pattern of every other weekend and holidays, as defined by the bargaining unit agreement.
