At Aveanna, we believe the best care happens at home. Our national organization is deeply invested in clinical excellence, compassionate care, and the long-term success of the nurses who deliver it. We are built around a culture of Compassion, Trust, Inclusion, Integrity, Innovation, and Compliance. These values guide how we care for patients and how we support our clinicians every day, empowering nurses to build meaningful relationships and focus on quality outcomes.
As a Registered Nurse in our Home Health team, you will serve as the primary clinical partner for patients and families in DeKalb County communities. Your day will involve delivering individualized, one-on-one nursing care that promotes recovery, safety, and independence. You will conduct comprehensive in-home assessments to evaluate physical, emotional, and environmental needs, translating those findings into thoughtful, patient-centered care plans.
Your role extends to providing skilled nursing interventions—including wound care, infusions, catheter care, medication management, and chronic disease management—tailored to each patient's specific goals. You will educate and empower patients and caregivers, helping them confidently manage symptoms and daily care. By monitoring patient progress and communicating effectively with physicians and the interdisciplinary team, you will help prevent avoidable hospitalizations and ensure continuity of care.
This position operates on a Monday through Friday schedule with a shared on-call rotation. Home health at Aveanna offers the flexibility many nurses value, allowing you to balance your professional and personal life while practicing in a supportive environment where you are never alone.
Our mission is to revolutionize the way homecare is delivered, one patient at a time. We are committed to innovation, clinical excellence, and compassionate care because outcomes improve when care is personal. Join the revolution and make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients and families every day.
