About the Role

This position is part of a General Talent Pool for Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS). By applying, you express interest in future teaching opportunities across the division. As an educator, you will plan and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate learning experiences aligned with Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) standards, the FCPS curriculum, and the Portrait of a Graduate framework. Your work will focus on meeting the diverse academic, social, and developmental needs of all students while fostering key attributes such as communication, collaboration, critical and creative thinking, global citizenship, and goal-directed resilience.

You will create a respectful, positive, and student-centered learning environment that promotes equity and inclusion. This role involves gathering and analyzing student performance data to guide instruction, monitor progress, and provide timely feedback to students and families. You will collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and support staff to design instruction and coordinate academic and behavioral supports, while also maintaining effective communication with families and the community.

The work environment is a professional school setting that includes classrooms, gymnasiums, cafeterias, auditoriums, and outdoor learning areas. The role requires frequent movement, interaction with students, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced educational setting.
