We are seeking a full-time Highway Design Engineer to join our dynamic team in Freehold, NJ. This role is designed for a professional with at least six years of progressive experience in road and highway design. The ideal candidate will lead project efforts, performing roadway and highway safety inspections, designing highway geometry, access, drainage, guide rail, signing, striping, and Maintenance and Traffic Protection (MPT).
In this position, you will prepare reports, plans, specifications, and bid packages while collaborating with multi-disciplined design teams and subconsultants. The role involves conducting site visits during the construction phase to provide client support and coordinating client meetings to facilitate development. A key aspect of the position is leadership and team development, where you will mentor and support junior engineers, providing opportunities for technical skill development and professional growth.
