Founded in 2001, Mastery Schools is a public charter network of 23 K-12 schools in Philadelphia and Camden, serving more than 14,000 students. The Opportunity

If you are obsessed with history and using the past to understand the present (as well as predict the future), a role as a History Teacher at Mastery is for you. You will join a team of educators dedicated to helping students develop a love of history. From 7th through 12th Grades, our students learn Ancient World History, African American History, Modern World History, US History, and Government/Economics, with opportunities to take AP courses in Modern World History, US History, and Government/Economics.

At Mastery, we value Continuous Improvement and want you to learn and grow in your craft. You will have access to world-class curriculum from TCI and the DBQ Project, alongside unit plans and guides provided by our Central Office. We utilize a team of Assistant Principals, central-office coaches, and school-based content teams to provide every teacher with coaching and feedback. Professional development and peer collaboration time are built into our staff calendar, and you will receive annual professional development plus a professional development allowance to further your growth.
