As a Heavy Truck Mechanic in Hampton, you will join an innovative team completing the area's most important large-scale, fast-track projects. You will play a vital role in our excavation, site work, underground utilities, asphalt paving, and ready-mix concrete operations, serving satisfied clients including VDOT, the Norfolk International Terminal, local governments, private developers, and corporate entities.
In this position, you will ensure a safe work environment by adhering to all safety policies and procedures. You will assist in maintaining DOT compliance for our truck fleet, performing random inspections and notifying supervisors of any guideline deviations. Your work will involve repairing and overhauling various equipment, including dump trucks, ready-mix trucks, pumps, air compressors, transmissions, and controls. You will also act as a field mechanic, performing necessary repairs and preventive maintenance to extend the service life of our equipment.
