As a faith-based academic center, Loma Linda University integrates innovative medicine with a dedication to service, offering over 100 degree and certificate programs across health disciplines. Our mission is rooted in serving underserved communities, fostering collaboration, and advancing healthcare excellence.
Located in the only "Blue Zone" in the United States, Loma Linda University is a hub for longevity and wellness. The city offers a family-friendly atmosphere with parks, excellent schools, and a Mediterranean climate perfect for year-round outdoor activities. As part of LLU, you will be immersed in a rich academic and professional ecosystem near cultural hotspots while maintaining a peaceful suburban environment.
Our department is built on a foundation of teamwork, mutual respect, and a shared commitment to success. Faculty members support one another through challenges and celebrate achievements together. This collegial environment has led many to remain in the department for decades, building strong professional and personal connections. Many of our faculty began their journey here as residents and chose to stay because of our welcoming and inclusive culture.
We are seeking an Academic Obstetrician-Gynecologist Generalist to join our team as the referral center for the Inland Empire. In this role, you will provide comprehensive care for women experiencing the most complex obstetric and gynecologic challenges. With over 4,000 babies delivered each year, you will collaborate closely with Loma Linda's specialists in the region's largest NICU, integrating pediatric surgery, cardiology, and other specialties to deliver multidisciplinary care tailored to each family's needs.
You will also play a vital role in our partnership with SAC Health, a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC). Through this collaboration, you will provide OBGYN care to underserved individuals and families, addressing health disparities and delivering compassionate care to the most vulnerable in our community. This includes offering prenatal care, mental health support, and chronic disease management.
As a faculty member, you will engage in cutting-edge academic medicine with 36 residents, 3 fellows, and a large medical school. You will actively mentor and train the next generation of healthcare leaders, collaborating with residents on research projects and engaging in scholarly activity with subspecialty divisions including Gynecologic Oncology, Maternal Fetal Medicine, Urogynecology, and Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility.
Our department recognizes the importance of flexibility to maintain balance and well-being. Faculty can opt for reduced work schedules with proportional salary adjustments or pursue additional productivity to enhance their compensation. We maintain a manageable call structure with capped 24-hour shifts and post-call recovery days. A planned laborist program will further reduce call burdens, providing greater flexibility and support for faculty.
More information on compensation and the recruitment process is discussed directly with the department during the interview phase.
Loma Linda University is a faith-based institution committed to transforming lives through healthcare, education, and faith. We value every team member's perspective and foster a positive, dynamic work environment where everyone can thrive.
