About the Role

This position is part of a federal AbilityOne contract, which requires that most work hours be performed by employees with disabilities. Consequently, this specific Grounds Maintenance Laborer role is exclusively open to individuals with disabilities.

Under close supervision, you will maintain landscaped areas, roads, and parking lots at assigned facilities, ensuring grounds are kept in safe and pristine condition. Your day will involve operating various landscaping equipment, from walking and riding mowers to weed eaters and blowers, to manage lawns, flower beds, and hedges. You will also monitor irrigation systems, apply necessary treatments like fertilizer and pesticides, and perform general site maintenance, which may include snow removal, surface salting, and cleaning comfort stations or offices. As this role may require travel between facilities, you will work in diverse construction environments, often outdoors in varying weather conditions.
