This senior-level position serves as a critical support pillar for the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Medicine, specifically focusing on the Bioinformatics program. The role exists to facilitate the research and teaching success of the department, its Chair, Principal Investigators (PIs), and research staff. The incumbent will advance the department's mission to deliver the highest quality of professional education and training while conducting cutting-edge research to achieve the status of a premier biomedical research and education center in the nation.
In this capacity, you will provide comprehensive research program support, managing both pre-award and post-award operations. You will work closely with Principal Investigators to manage day-to-day operations through direct grant award administration and strategic administrative contributions. The role involves identifying potential grant opportunities, assisting in proposal development, and maintaining fiscal responsibility. You will also engage in outreach to other GW stakeholders to assist in maintaining standard operational efficiencies. As a senior-level professional, you will make recommendations on policy and procedures and may have the authority to implement changes with minimal supervision.
This is a full-time position with a standard schedule of Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
