The Tactical Recon and Strike (TRS) team at Anduril develops aerial small drones (Group 1-3) and the full suite of equipment required to test, deploy, and operate them. We are responsible for transforming products like Ghost, Anvil, Bolt, and Altius from paper sketches into operational systems. Our team works in close coordination with specialist groups to solve some of the most challenging problems facing our customers.
Within TRS, the Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) team handles the implementation, analysis, testing, and validation of GNC software solutions for our autonomous drone fleet. Our applications include attitude and position control, waypoint and terminal guidance engagements, and navigation in contested environments, including those without communication or GPS.
This position focuses on guidance and control law development and validation, as well as hardware and software in-the-loop testing and analysis. You will support cutting-edge navigation solutions across the entire range of drones within TRS. The role involves developing, debugging, and testing flight controllers and guidance algorithms, while working closely with the flight software team to define requirements and integrate GNC software in simulation.
You will review test data captured from flight control systems and subsystems to verify vehicle performance, evaluate algorithm behavior, and debug incidents during testing or from fielded assets. This role is on-site at our headquarters in Costa Mesa, CA, with relocation benefits provided.
We are looking for engineers who share a passion for defending the United States of America and its allies. Our team is dedicated to creating a powerful robotics platform that can be tasked and viewed in real-time through a variety of interfaces.
