As the Global Senior Manager of Socially & Environmentally Responsible Sourcing, you will lead and drive the strategy for GM's environmental and socially responsible supply chain program across both direct and indirect supply chains. This role exists to strengthen sourcing practices, ensure business continuity, and establish clear standards for supplier performance throughout the entire supplier lifecycle.
You will work cross-functionally to embed sourcing expectations into supplier selection, contracting, performance management, and continuous improvement initiatives. Closely partnering with Corporate Global Sustainability and other key stakeholders, you will translate corporate objectives, policy requirements, and evolving regulatory expectations into practical supply chain processes and controls. As the owner of the Supplier Code of Conduct, you will oversee governance, due diligence, and risk-based supplier oversight, including assessments, audits, mitigation actions, and issue resolution.
Beyond execution, this role is responsible for supply chain reporting, disclosures, and leadership updates. You will utilize metrics and dashboards to assess supplier behavior, demonstrate compliance to external stakeholders, and strengthen GM's credibility on ESG performance. The position also focuses on building organizational capability by developing talent, influencing cross-functional teams, and driving execution through ambiguity and change.
