Key Responsibilities
- check_circlePartner with the Head of Technology to shape and refine technology strategy for a complex financial-services estate
- check_circleEngage early in complex initiatives and step in during major incidents and recovery efforts
- check_circleBalance long-term strategy with near-term delivery constraints, operational resilience, and regulatory expectations
- check_circleRepresent technology direction with clients and senior stakeholders, explaining design choices and trade-offs
- check_circleCoach senior engineers and architects through hands-on problem solving, design reviews, and practical guidance
- check_circleSet and govern reference architectures, design standards, and architectural guardrails for scalable systems
- check_circleDesign distributed, event-driven, and data-intensive systems with security and controls built in
- check_circleEnsure AI-enabled systems are explainable, auditable, and operationally safe within regulated environments
- check_circleLead engineering authority across Enterprise Solutions by influencing architecture, design, and delivery decisions
Requirements
- verified20+ years building and operating systems in tier-1 banks, capital markets infrastructure, or similarly regulated, high-availability environments
- verifiedIndefinite right to work in the United States
- verifiedExperience in banking and financial services domains (public and private markets, syndicated lending, securities processing, etc.)
- verifiedExperience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- verifiedKnowledge of advanced architectures (agent-based systems, service abstractions, semantic data models, knowledge graphs)
- verifiedExperience with AI-enabled systems (explainable, auditable, operationally safe)
- verifiedStrong understanding of security, identity, data protection, and regulatory risk
Nice to Have
Knowledge of advanced and new architectures and design paradigms e.g. agent-based systems, service abstractions, semantic data models, knowledge graphs, and where to apply or not.
