Sinai Hospital of Baltimore, a Regional Medical Campus of the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences, is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Generalist in Obstetrics and Gynecology. As the largest community hospital in Maryland with 483 beds, Sinai serves the greater Baltimore community as well as national and international patients. The hospital is a nonprofit teaching institution with an ACGME-accredited residency program training over 140 residents.
The BirthPlace at Sinai Hospital is an integral part of the community, performing 1,800 births annually. Recognized for two consecutive years by U.S. News & World Report for high performance in Maternity Hospital Ratings, the department is also a recipient of the 2022 Minogue Award Circle of Honor from the Maryland Patient Safety Center for innovations in patient safety. Starting in April 2023, Sinai will host George Washington University medical students for all required third and fourth-year rotations and electives, building on a partnership that began in 2018.
This role offers the unique opportunity to build upon an established practice within a well-established team of six OB/GYNs, two Advanced Practice Providers, and 16 residents. The position includes an academic appointment with the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences, allowing you to enjoy the reward and challenge of teaching future OB/GYNs. The department supports a growing Maternal Fetal Medicine practice, a robust Laborist program, and specialized divisions in Urogynecology and Gynecologic Oncology. The team utilizes DaVinci Xi robotic surgery, and block time for OR cases is provided.
