The Fort Rucker Range and Training Complex spans roughly 60,000 acres across Dale and Coffee counties in Alabama.
As a General Maintenance Worker on the Grounds Maintenance crew, you will play a vital part in supporting our warfighters by ensuring the AGRC operates safely and efficiently. Reporting to the Crew Chief, you will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of the range, its facilities, and equipment.
Your day-to-day work involves a diverse mix of outdoor tasks, ranging from target fabrication and repair to vegetation and erosion control. You will assist skilled technicians, operate range control station computers, and perform basic maintenance on small arms range components. The role requires physical stamina to work under rugged conditions, including temperature variations, and involves tasks such as repairing fences, gates, and buildings, as well as maintaining vehicles and material handling equipment. You will also compile statistical data on maintenance activities and interface with various units conducting training.
