Employees must remain vigilant regarding pedestrian awareness, overhead door protocols, and pinch points. We foster a culture where near misses and unsafe acts are immediately reported to supervisors, and all team members are expected to be familiar with conveyor belts, emergency stops, and the specific work areas they occupy.
This position involves working in all weather conditions, ranging from below 0 degrees to over 90 degrees. The role demands physical agility, including the ability to bend, stretch, twist, and stand for long periods. Operators must be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and pushing or pulling up to 25 lbs. A critical requirement for this environment is the absence of allergies to sawdust or airborne particles, ensuring respiratory safety in the mill.
