Baylor College of Medicine at CHRISTUS Children's is seeking a faculty member for the Department of Pediatrics, Division of Gastroenterology. The division specializes in Motility Disorders and is home to the Voelker Clinical Research Center, which supports faculty pursuing clinical research. Notably, the division established the first of its kind Advanced Endoscopy fellowship and has successfully trained five fellows.
This full-time faculty position offers a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package. The role combines clinical excellence with academic leadership. Clinical responsibilities include providing ambulatory and inpatient care, as well as consultative services for children with intestinal, hepatic, pancreatic, and nutritional disorders. The incumbent will also perform general pediatric gastrointestinal procedures, such as upper endoscopy and colonoscopy with related therapeutic procedures.
Beyond patient care, the successful candidate will play a vital role in the education of medical students, residents, and fellows in Gastroenterology. This includes supervising trainees within the division's established Advanced Endoscopy fellowship program.
Interested candidates should review the minimum qualifications, which include an M.D., Ph.D., or D.O. degree, completion of an ACGME-approved fellowship in Pediatric Gastroenterology, Texas Medical Board licensure, and Board Certification by the American Board of Pediatrics with subspecialty certification in pediatric gastroenterology (or eligibility for the same).
